It can be difficult to sell sentimental belongings such as jewelry.

With today’s unpredictable economy, it seems a lot of people are cutting corners or finding various other ways to get some extra money. These other ways can include cleaning out their closets and attics, or digging through their jewelry boxes to try and find hidden fortunes buried there.

From garage sales to consignment shops and pawnshops, we’re all trying hard to make ends meet at any cost. One can earn a little extra cash by doing any or all of these things. At the same time however, it can be difficult to let go of the memories attached to your items.

While there are some objects one can sell for a profit without having to worry about letting go of them - items such as clothing that has been outgrown or household goods that are no longer needed - it can be a lot harder to let go of those belongings that have sentimental attachments such as jewelry.

Some pieces in jewelry may not have the same meaning as they used to.
Some pieces in jewelry may not have the same meaning as they used to.

Despite the fact that we all surely possess a few items of jewelry that we do not wish to sell, more than likely we have some jewelry that we wouldn’t mind parting with to put a bit of extra cash in our pockets.

Whether these pieces of jewelry are ones that don’t have the same meaning to us as they used to such as class rings from years ago, or perhaps a ring that was given as a token of affection or commitment by a past admirer, they can still have value.

When you’re looking to cash in on items such as the ones listed above, it helps to know what you have and who you can trust to give you the best payout possible. After all, you definitely don’t want to sell them on a garage sale or to a pawnbroker for pennies on the dollar! So, how do you know what it’s worth?

You can turn your gold ring or other jewelry into cash.

A sure-fire way to make sure you can get the most out of old jewelry such as a gold ring, is to arm yourself with as much information as you can on certain key points relating to your ring. For instance, is it an heirloom? If it is, then find out how old it is, what time period it was crafted in, and how the piece was crafted.

You could have the piece appraised by a jeweler; however, keep in mind that most appraisals are not done for the resell value, but mostly for insurance purposes. This means that what your ring appraises for is not necessarily what the ring is actually worth.

One of today’s hottest sources for turning your gold ring or other jewelry into cash is Cash4Gold. They are getting top reviews for their smooth transactions, and for the prices they are paying for gold, silver or platinum jewelry. You can request a free, insured Refiner’s Return Kit right on their website. It’s free, easy, and definitely worth it to find out how much you can get in return!

Reads like an article-mill produced piece with no information. The whole article can be reduced to one short sentence: We don't know your ring's worth, so send it to Cash4Gold.

Worthless wasted of valuable internet space.

I have a golds mens wedding band that is size 10 and in very good condition. It is 14k. And the etching in the inside says 14KPFG....the G is etched differently than the rest. What would this be worth? Can I send a picture of it?

Why are some of you asking what your gold is worth on an article that obviously has no idea what their own gold is worth? If your curious ask a professional or use cash4gold. Simple yes?
